Swansea police detective Harry Lambert is investigating a series of gruesome murders and discovers the victims are a ring of pedophiles who have been targeted by a serial killer. When the truth about the victims' years of abuse becomes apparent, it stirs up suspicions in DI Lambert's mind about his own family history, and a past he is reluctant to face. As he and his team delve further and are plunged into a seedy world of suspects, victims and vigilantes alike, it becomes a distinct possibility that the killer may be a reformed pedophile seeking revenge. But when a television producer becomes a suspect, Lambert discovers the motives are not as straightforward as they at first appear, and the answer lies buried somewhere deep in the past. As he unearths the terrible truths about these horrendous crimes, he discovers they are truths which may cost him his life.
